KIC Releases Comprehensive Tutorial CDs

(San Diego, CA -- May 15, 2001) : KIC Thermal Profiling has released two tutorial CD-ROMs to guide users in the use of the company‘s Pilot process control software with both BTU and Heller reflow ovens. They are designed to show an operator how to use the KIC Pilot to optimize the temperature profile in the oven.

Key points: Animated tutorials; Detailed guides to temperature profile control

The Pilot intelligent software is a tool for error-free optimal oven set-up and periodic profiling, regardless of the experience and skill level of the operator. First, the process engineer defines the process window and all production parameters. The Pilot is then used to store all pertinent oven setup information, and controls how the operator performs the tasks, allowing line operators and technicians to run equipment setup, change-over and production.

The CD-ROMs give animated tutorials of how to use the software, showing how it works with each individual oven. This allows the operator to begin using the software without the need for additional training.

KIC‘s products enable users to monitor, control and manage the thermal processes of wave soldering, SMT reflow, curing, high-temperature furnaces and rework. They help manufacturers to increase yields while reducing defect rates and costs.
