The KIC® Wave Surfer™ is a self-contained system that provides critical data on wave solder machine set up and performance. Used in conjunction with your SlimKIC® 2000™ and the KIC 2000 software, you can ensure your wave solder machine is set up and performing properly.
The easy, accurate and repeatable operation uses KIC's award winning software. The software graphically guides you through each easy step to acquire a profile and optionally optimize the process. Once the profile is complete, the graph and report will display:
| Dimensions (L x W x H): |
411mm x 305mm x 37mm (16.8" x 12" x 1.46") |
| Weight: | 4.5 lbs without profiler and sample PCB |
| Max Temperature: | 350C |

Profiling Reduced to a Single Number
For precise ranking of profile performance, the KIC software uses the Process Window Index (PWI).
The PWI measures the profile’s fit to the process window in a mathematical and objective manner by using a single number.
This aids in optimizing the process by comparing and ranking alternative profiles in terms of their fit to the available process window.
The lower the PWI, the more efficient and stable the process!
